In our AP Language and Composition course, we twisted this activity by engaging in our own version. We created a bracket of our choice and then allowed people to cast votes on it. Before we found out the winning team of our bracket, we wrote an argumentative essay on who we thought would win. The activity is intertwined with notions of gambling and promotes youth gambling as we create “fake brackets” in hopes of guessing the winning team.
